This left the Mean Girls musical with big shoes to fill. 2024’s Mean Girls did not quite live up to the original, scoring a 70% among critics and a 62% audience score.

Overall, it grossed $104 million worldwide, which represented a respectable turn on its $36 million estimated budget.
