The streaming release date has been revealed for Trolls Band Together. Released in theaters on November 17, 2023, Band Together is the third movie in the Trolls franchise, which began in 2016. It is directed by Walt Dohrn and Tim Heitz, and features the vocal talents of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Kenan Thompson, Dohrn, Anderson .Paak, Ron Funches, and Kunal Nayyar.

As per DreamWorks, Trolls Band Together has now been given a streaming release date. It will become available for streaming on March 15.

Trolls Band Together will be available exclusively on Peacock. To announce the release date, DreamWorks included a promotional video showing excitement about the movie and showcasing one of the film’s songs.

How Did Trolls Band Together Fare In Theaters?

Trolls Band Together was the first opportunity for the franchise to revive itself in the post-COVID era. The previous film in the franchise, Trolls World Tour, released in only a limited number of theaters during 2020, which lined up simultaneously with its digital release. For a mostly at-home movie, however, Trolls World Tour did remarkably well, raking in a record-breaking $100 million in rentals.

Because of Trolls World Tour’s pandemic win, expectations were high for the box office performance of its follow-up. Trolls Band Together ended up making $207 million worldwide, which while respectable, did not live up to the $347 million of the first film. Among critics, Trolls Band Together got mixed reviews, holding a 61% on Rotten Tomatoes.

If franchise history is any indication, Trolls Band Together will do incredibly well on streaming. The previous movie survived both COVID and lower ratings than the first Trolls to become a pandemic success. Trolls Band Together could easily repeat this unique pattern as it hits Peacock in just under two weeks.
