E’ un dramma ambientato nel Bhopal durante la tragedia provocata dai gas nel 1984. Il film mette in luce i metodi irresponsabili di molte industrie e gli effetti delle loro azioni sulla popolazione. La storia è vista attraverso gli occhi di una giovane coppia di sposi e di un loro amico.

Is a human drama set against the gas tragedy in Bhopal which took place in 1984. The film examines the irresponsible methods of large corporations and the effects of their actions on common people. The story unravels through the eyes of a newly wed couple and their friend.

Mahesh Mathai

Nato a Kerala (India) nel 1959. Terminati gli studi in un college di Bombay, si laurea in Fisica finchè nel 1980 decide di lavorare come assistente presso una casa di produzione. Dopo due anni si mette in proprio e fonda la Synchrony, affermandosi rapidamente nel settore pubblicitario indiano. Successivamente, dopo molti film e numerosi riconoscimenti, nel 1988 fonda a Bombay la casa di produzione Highlight, con la quale fa conoscere molti registi e che viene presto considerata una delle più prestigiose case di produzione del Paese. Nel 1999 debutta nella regia con Bhopal Express.

He was born in Kerala (India). He went to school and college in Bombay and turned back to his degree in Physics when he decided to join a production house in 1980 as an apprentice. In two years he had soaked in as much as he could and was ready to branch out on his own, which he did in 1982, forming Synchrony and quickly establishing a reputation as the new sensation in Indian advertising. Many films and countless awards later, in 1988 he formed Highlight, a highly successful production house in Bombay that features several other directors and has continuously been counted as one of the best Production Houses in the region. His first film is Bhopal Express (1999).
