In the Wes Anderson’s new film director three brothers, who
haven’t spoken to each other since one year, go on journey to
India with the purpose to find themselves and the reciprocal
relation they had in the past. In spite of the good intentions
however, their spiritual search leads to chaos, as result of
events linked to non prescribed analgesics, an Indian cough
mixture and a chilli spray. They find themselves blocked in the
middle of the desert with eleven suitcases, a printer and a
bookbinding machine. At this point a new, non planned journey
begins. The film arises from three different interests of
the director: trains, India and the vicissitudes, often funny
and tragic at the same time, of love and family relationships
the director already dealt successfully with in his previous
films like Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums.
