Brought up as catholic Christians, Darshika and Puhalchudar
are 2 girls with hopes and dreams like all other 24 year old
girls, but they are also war veterans and trained suicide
bombers. Their childhood contained harassment, aerial
bombings, army attacks and the loss of family members
leading to the apparently very conscious
decision to join the guerrilla forces at a very young age.
To the girls, being a suicide bomber is merely the ultimate
weapon against a much larger enemy, and a sacrifice they feel
they have to commit for the safety of future generations.
They have no expectations of Paradise as a reward, but know
they will be remembered and revered as martyrs. This film
offers unique insight into the psychology of an organisation
most of the world has blacklisted as terrorist. Director Beate
Arnestad and producer Morten Daae are the first filmmakers
ever to follow and interview active Black Tigers.
