This documentary arises from the idea of putting on video the
director’s experience, when the director, during a business
trip in Ladakh, gets the opportunity to visit the monastery of
Lamayuru, where the sacred dances for the Spring Festival are
taking place.

He started his career in 1960 as a
press photograph for the newspaper
“La Nazione”. 1970 he made his
directorial debut for the national
broadcast RAI/TV and made documentaries
and reportages about current,
cultural and religious topics. He
established in 1975 the production
company Film Service s.r.l. of which
he is at the present the manager,
and produces many videos in advertising
and industrial field. 1976 he
was in Ladakh for the first time for a
60’ documentary. He made numerous
documentaries also in different
countries like Israel, Iceland, Japan,
Brazil, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, India,
Russia, many of them are screened
abroad. Among the countless
projects, he made 1991-1993 across
the four continents a documentary of
20 episodes about the ethnic minorities
threaten with extinction, which
constitute the TV program The Argonaut,
internationally released.

Dopo 32 anni il regista fa ritorno in Ladakh, dove aveva realizzato
un documentario di 2 ore sulla rappresentazione teatrale
della vita di Buddha, alla ricerca del professore e dei ragazzi
di allora che avevano messo in scena lo spettacolo.
After 32 years, the director went back to Ladakh, where he
then made a 2 hours-length documentary on a theatre piece
about Buddha’s life, with the purpose to find the professor
