A Song is a music teacher who came from a small county city. The film A Song recorded his experience in Shenzhen. At the beginning, A Song became a singer and sung in a song hall. But no longer, the song hall was closed and A Song lost his job. After that, he hasn’t found a job any more. Then by a friend’s help, he began to sell “yellow pages”. A Song didn’t like this job at all and felt very boring and lonely. Slowly by slowly, A Song’s life has been in trouble. After the biggest Typhoon, he returned home, and began his new life. In this film A Song experienced his life, the director and audiences, they’re only the on-lookers.

Liu Gaoming

Liu Gaoming was born in Shicheng, Jiangxi Province, in China in 1972. He studied the Oil Painting and Photography at the Gannan Educational University. In 1997 he began his career as a designer. In 2001 he set up his own design company, “the Brothers”, becoming the art director of his own company. 2005 he made his directorial debut with the documentary Pai Gu. Besides A Song, in 2007 he realized another film, Left or Right.
