An Zi, a rural youth, is cheated and in debt when he opens a restaurant in town. He then become a peddler and motorcycle driver. To repay the debt, he goes to the capital city to find his cousin for help. Unexpectedly, his cousin is a illegal dealer and covers An Zi’ s wife Xiu Rong.

Lei Xiao Bao

He was born in Hanzhong City, Shan Xi province, and settles in Qing Hai province. He majored in TV Opera Director and graduated from BBI in 1991. He took advanced classes in the Direction Department of BFA from 1998. The main works include about 7 films, among them Soul in Kekexili. An Zi (2007) is his first independent film.
