This is a story of a day in the life of a small village in the mountains, with all its difficulties, joy, amenities and beauties, from dawn to late at night. The echo of collapse of the soviet rule, the civil war and the building a new life reached these places, where in the cold and harsh winter days people warm their homes with the fire of kindness, hope and love. And the long winter is over – it will be spring tomorrow!

Safarbek Soliev

Safarbek Soliev was born in Tajikistan in 1959. 1980 he graduated from philosophy at the Tajik State University, 1992 he attended advanced courses at the Unit of Cinematographers and at the Goskino in Moscow. 2000 he graduated from jurisprudence at the Kyrgyz State University. Since 1980 Safarbek Soliev has been working as film director and producer of more than 20 documentaries and feature films. His short film Wedding Ring (2002) was presented at Asiaticafilmmediale in 2003.
