In the Sichuan Province, China,
a 17-year old boy from the countryside goes to the city to
find his father. His father left home six years ago and has
not been heard since then. Getting through all kinds of difficulties,
the boy finally takes his father home on his own way. Meanwhile,
ends his youth with blood.

Born 1977 in Shanghai, he attended courses
the Art Department of Beijing Normal University and graduated
from Bachelor of Arts in the Department of Directing at Chongqing
Film Academy. 1999 he started making the first short films
and documentaries, most of them were screened at festivals
in Hong Kong Taiwan, Canada. He won various awards at the
Beijing Students Film Festival. With Taking Father Home, his
feature film debut, he was awarded at the festivals in Tokyo,
Hong Kong, Singapore, San Francisco. 2006 he finished his
second feature film Other Half, sponsored by the Hubert Bals
Fund of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
