This film is a trilogy about several hot issues within Indonesian politics. Each of the three parts has a peculiar style and form. The first part focuses with accurate historical perspective on colonial history and the creation of modern Indonesia. The second part deals with the question of the autonomy of the Papuans and the cruel standardization of ethnic variety which caused bloodshed and sufferance in various territories. The third part takes a more essayist and reflective look at cultural and ethnic identity, which is an explosive subject in Indonesia.
