Safarbek Soliev was born in Dushanbe in Tajikistan in 1959. In 1980 he graduated at the Philological faculty of Tajik State University. In 1992 he graduated in Advanced Courses at the Unit of Cinematographers in Moscow and in 2000 he graduated at the faculty of Jurisprudence of Kirgiz State National University in Bishkek. Since 1980 he works as movie director and producer. He has produced more than twenty between documentaries and feature films.
