is an urban story set in contemporary India and inspired by
The Ragamala, a tradition in Indian painting which attempts
to visualise music. Rasikan Re presents the cautious attraction

Kaul has a solid grounding in documentary filmmaking, working
borderline between fiction and reality. Her interests lie in
defining an Indian aesthetic in film, adapting the voice of
a particular and ancient tradition to a modern sensibility and
form.
