This is the story of a village young man Chen Mo who illegally sells flowers in the streets of Beijing and Meiting, a girl who works in barbershop. Both struggle to find a house to live in. Their accidental meeting is just the beginning of a relationship which will end in tragedy. The story of two lonely individuals eager for love.

Liu Hao was born in 1969 in Shanghai. He worked as a reporter at the Shanghai Labor Protection Newspaper and at the Hong Kong’s Reform magazine. In 1995 his Peking opera music video, Drunk Concubine, won him an award at the First Shanghai Local Opera Music Video Competition. In 1999, he graduated from the Directing Department of the Beijing Film Academy. Chen Mo he Meiting is his début as cinema director.
