| Born
in 1964 in Taiwan, Wayne Peng graduated in 1986. After two years
of military service, and at the age of twenty-four, he finally
had the chance to shoot his first film. Although he is fond
of Taipei, Peng has never considered himself as a Taiwan native
director. In 1999 he ranked No.14 as the most awarded director
in the world according to The Gunn Report.
